SERVING GOD THROUGH SERVANT HANDS
Lunch for residents at Room in the Inn’s Campus
for Human Development
We will be serving a hot lunch to the men at Room in the Inn’s Campus for Human Development on Sunday, November 8. The men at the campus would likely be homeless without the housing and programs offered at the Campus. We will be serving kielbasa and sauerkraut, white beans, corn, rolls, fruit, and brownies.
Please contact Beverly McMahon or Jennifer Gunn at 872-0989, or Linda Grace at 773-8571, if you would like to help out that Sunday. Also, we can always use help with the cooking, so let us know if you’d like to bring brownies, etc. We will leave St. Philip’s around 11 am. Thanks!

As Pastor Vicki said in her October 25th sermon: “Ministry. More groups and programs and more ministers - that’s anyone who takes a leadership role in the church. “ (see the web site for this sermon).
This ministry that we share with our neighbor church, Donelson Heights UMC, is in need of leadership/ministers. It only lasts about two months during the five month season, and has a good group of experienced volunteers. The role of the leaders is to determine the number of weeks we can host the ministry (Wednesday nights through Thursday mornings – DHUMC will probably take the months of November and December), publicize the schedule, recruit volunteers, and make sure that the program runs smoothly. St. Philip’s hosted six weeks last season –can we take the months of January and February this season?
