Second Harvest

St. Philip's is proud to be a member of  The Emergency Food Box program that was created to feed hungry individuals and families in Nashville on an urgent-need basis.

An EFB provides two to three days of staple food items based on the number of members in each household. Households needing food assistance may receive three boxes of food within a six-month period.

The Emergency Food Box program relies on food donations from individual, corporate and organizational food drives. The collection barrels at Davidson County Kroger grocery stores and community-wide food drives, such as the Tennessee Titans Food Drive, the Nashville Predators Food Drive and the Letter Carriers' Food Drive, all contribute to the Emergency Food Box program.

Room In The Inn

St. Philip's Coordinator
Jan Brown

We are already in a new year of Room In The Inn service to the homeless community. We are always looking for new volunteers for this vital ministry. Maybe this is where God is calling you to love and serve your neighbor? What you offer can be as simple as making sack lunches to send our clients out the door with, to spending the night as Innkeeper. For the range of volunteer opportunities, check out the bulletin board at church and contact Jan.
