What are the differences between the 8:00 and 10:30 Sunday morning services? It's difficult to get to sleep at night, but I don't want to miss out by going to the later service. -Curious One
Our 8 oclock service is a spoken service - that is, there is no music during it; the Gloria and Sanctus are spoken as well. Without hymns, it is a shorter service than the one at 10:30. At that later service, nursery is available, hymns are sung, children are invited to the chancel steps for a 3-minute visit before exiting for their own Service of the Word (they return for Communion after the Peace and while announcements are shared), and the service lasts a little longer - a little over an hour.
Thanks for asking! Join us for whichever service appeals to you and your morning schedule!
